Military Mamas Rock Radio Audiences From Sea To Singing Sea
In a bold move to support military families, Army wife, Carrie Cox, takes to the air waves at WAIF 88.3 FM on the air in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her mission to support military families by connecting them with one another and their loved ones overseas. As a former family support group leader for her husband's unit in Ft. Campbell. Kentucky, Cox saw a gap in communication with families.
"The sacrifices made by soldiers are obvious to anyone watching the news, but the silent suffering of families who are left behind during a deployment often goes unnoticed. Children miss the familiar prescence of a parent, some times both parents. Spouses miss the support of a two parent home and struggle to meet the demands as a single parent emotionally and financially. We want families to know that they are not alone. We are family."
The show will be broken into three sections. The first section will be news and information useful to military families. The second section will be interviews with guests. The final section will be dedications to loved ones overseas. The program can be heard live in Cincinnati, Ohio every Tuesday from noon to one on 88.3 FM or internationally over the internet on
www.waifstream.com for the next 12 weeks as a pilot hoping to get picked up in a permenant spot on WAIF or another national station.
